The Hemp Fiberreed’s facing has a curved cut like cane reeds as opposed to the straight across cut of the Carbon and Natural models. Because the materials are 80% natural (Hemp and wood), these reeds produce a darker, earthy tone and present a wide spectrum of overtones. Nevertheless, they play clearly and precisely in the high and altissimo range.
